**Summary**

The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between the business community and the technical development team(s) who support the systems the community uses. This person is responsible for ensuring that business needs, related to those systems, are clearly understood, documented and met. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with business system users, subject matter experts and technical resources to support business requirement efforts, document functional requirements and design specifications and support development and testing efforts.

**What You'll Do**

+ ​​Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.

+ Creates documentation ensuring that the requirements and design are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.

+ Conducts internal and external research to gain a better understanding of the project’s subject area.

+ ​Conducts meetings and presentations to all levels of stakeholders to share ideas and findings and to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted

+ Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.​​

+ Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

+ Develop and execute test cases for new applications and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

+ Participate in a structured on-call support rotation during summer storm season.

**What It Takes To Succeed**

Demonstrated ability to lead work effectively within a team environment, with a strong focus on customer service.

Adept in creative problem solving, with proficiency in analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data.

Experienced in Agile development practices, with ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.

Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience fostering trust and collaboration across diverse groups.

Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, including experience presenting to leadership.

Understanding of relational databases, including ability to write and interpret SQL queries to support analysis.

Preferred: Familiarity with SRP's operational landscape and technologies within Distribution Operations, notably the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS).

**Experience**

• For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required (if no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four-six years). • For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required (if no degree, six-eight years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-eight years). • For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).

**Education**

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

**Hybrid Workplace**

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
