Description We are looking for an experienced Database Analyst to join our dynamic team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical skills in data management, analysis, and visualization, along with a passion for uncovering insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities:
• Lead data mining, modeling, and analysis efforts to support strategic planning and solution implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new data sources and improve data gathering techniques.
• Develop and optimize complex Transact-SQL (T-SQL) queries to manage relational databases effectively.
• Build and manipulate data models in Power BI to create impactful visualizations and reports.
• Ensure data accuracy and performance by implementing indexing and query optimization techniques.
• Analyze operational system issues, recommend solutions, and manage the execution of those solutions.
• Utilize advanced Excel functionalities, including complex formulas, PivotTables, and macros, to analyze and present data.
• Support knowledge management practices by maintaining repositories and fostering collaboration within IT.
• Stay informed about emerging tools like Databricks and PySpark to prepare for future integration.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, tailoring messages to meet business goals. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Transact-SQL (T-SQL) and relational database management, such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Power BI tools, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, and Power Automate.
• Strong understanding of database design principles, including normalization, denormalization, and dimensional modeling.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of complex formulas, PivotTables, and macros.
• Familiarity with Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis and automation is a plus.
• Experience or interest in working with Databricks and PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Academic background in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics.
