**Operational:**

1. Accountable for ensuring that R&D Capital projects are delivered on time and within agreed constraints of resources and budget:

1. Supervise the final negotiations for the allocated R&D Capital project and provides the execution strategy inclusive project charter.

2. Ensures that the R&D capital project schedule baseline is signed by the involved parties at the start of the project

3. Responsible for the overall R&D capital project schedule in the execution phase.

4. Manage the allocated R&D capital project to achieve the project goals and objectives.

5. Manage and lead the project team to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets

6. Perform proper risk and opportunity management.

7. Perform negotiations with clients, partners, and/or contractors

8. Prepare and perform Project Reviews as requested

9. Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with clients, partners and main contractors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution

10. Own the project execution processes and tools

11. Establish, implement and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction

12. Capture return of experience and best practice

**Specific Functional/Technical Authority**

1. Follows and promotes HS&E policies and guidelines. Ensures that all personnel engaged in NPD are aware of HS&E policies and requirements.

2. Advises on safe design, construction and operation of laboratory and pilot plant test facilities.

3. Evaluates technical feasibility of externally and internally proposed projects.

4. Ensures projects meet Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements set by Business leadership.

5. Use of commercial simulation programs to simulate and optimize process designs.

6. Techno economic analysis of pilot and demonstration plant process technology to ensure competitive capital and operating costs

7. Maintains and manages the technical knowledge base for pilot plants engineering, design and construction.

8. Evaluates and integrates developments in other technology areas for application in the assigned technology area.

**Basic Candidate Qualifications:**

1. Chemical Engineering Degree from a reputed Institute with 8-10 years of work experience.

2. Must be eligible to travel to US

3. Additional Qualifications for the Position- Designing experience in gas, oil, petrochemical, power or refining industries
