Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in Gilbert, Arizona. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage accounts payable tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper coding.

• Prepare and complete check runs to ensure timely payments.

• Maintain thorough records of accounts payable transactions.

• Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or payment issues.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during invoice processing.

• Review and validate invoice coding to align with budget and expense guidelines.

• Assist in reconciling accounts payable ledger with general ledger.

• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Respond promptly to inquiries regarding payments and invoices.

• Identify and implement improvements to accounts payable processes.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

• Proficiency in invoice coding and processing procedures.

• Familiarity with check runs and payment workflows.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

• Knowledge of accounts payable systems and tools.

• Experience with financial reconciliation and reporting.
