**The Purpose of the Role**
As a **Procurement Project Specialist I** you will be part of Middle East Sourcing team and will act as the focal point for proposals and projects execution support for the assigned 3rd party packages for country / region for Kuwait Facilitates the strategic sourcing activities for various Line of businesses.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Ensure that purchase 3rd party goods, materials and services for projects business are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
+ You will hold responsibility for a specific project/region/business, with guidance from senior professionals. You will be responsible for delivering strategic activities of purchasing goods and services across P2P cycle with stated terms and conditions for different phases of projects from bidding stage passing through execution till handing over. Also, may include frequent one-off negotiations for non-standard buys, low dollar volume buys or items that are not strategically sourced.
+ Do a superb job for internal customers every day in quality, delivery, value, technology, and responsiveness. Act with a sense of urgency and focus on results, not activity. Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and critically analyze details
The goals will therefore be, but not limited, as per below:
+ Ensure cost-efficient, accurate and on time purchases, including compliance to Honeywell purchasing policies
+ Develop and administer strategic sourcing plan and prepare bid analysis
+ Prepare bid 3rd party costing / risk and opportunities analysis
+ Develop supplier recommendation and selection criteria
+ Works on in country value (ICV) improvement and localization initiatives.
+ Achieve and exceed all KPI’s AOP such as productivity, working capital, high growth region spends.
+ Maintain Strategic relationship with Key suppliers.
+ Perform different negotiations strategies such as online biddings (e-auctions)
+ Promote a zero-tolerance for violations of procurement policies and procedures
+ Facilitate trade compliance analysis
+ Provide input on post-bid analysis lessons learned (wins / losses)
+ Support the supplier contract execution and facilitate contract modifications
+ Recommend and administer corrective action plans
+ Utilize supplier scorecard and project team evaluation database for project analysis
+ Negotiate price, payment terms and other T&C’s
+ Participate in business reviews when required
+ Engage engineering and domain expertise as necessary
**We Value:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain/logistics, or equivalent experience (master’s degree preferred)
+ Minimum 3 years’ experience within a sourcing role ideally within the oil and gas or industrial automation industry
+ Multinational environment experience
+ GCC Experience is a must
+ Excellent presentation & proven negotiation skills
+ Drive to continuously create results and innovative solutions
+ Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties at different levels in a project environment
