**Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to exact specifications.

+ Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

+ Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.

+ Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

+ Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.

+ Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

+ Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.

+ Follow all safety and quality protocols.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience in lathe setup, including setting up a dual spindle CNC lathe.

+ Ability to enter programs and hold a tolerance of +/- 2/10ths.

+ Proficiency in using Fanuc controls to enter CAD CAM.

+ Experience working with hardened metals such as Inconel and Titanium.

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading, troubleshooting, and grinding.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.

+ 2–5 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T.

+ Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming; experience with Fanuc and Haas controls is a plus.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Experience with multi-axis lathes or live tooling.

+ Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing.

+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, Arizona.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
