Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Operations Manager to join their team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This pivotal role reports directly to the Accounting Operations Manager and is crucial in overseeing accounting operations and reporting activities, as well as managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.

Responsibilities

* Provide full accountability for the accounting team, including setting and monitoring goals and performance.
* Oversee the timely and accurate processing of the team's transactions and reporting, manage work distribution, review work in progress, promote outstanding customer service, and manage month-end close activities.
* Review and recommend changes to support continuous improvement efforts while maintaining strong financial controls.
* Ensure all internal controls are effectively working and adhered to by the team; support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
* CPA certification is preferred.
* 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years managing an accounting team.
* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles.
* Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
* A self-starter who takes initiative to exceed expectations and deliver outstanding results.
* Proven track record of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities, and achieving objectives.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, during the first shift. This postion will go hybrid after being in-office 100% for training (3 days in-office/2 work from home)

Benefits

Competitive salary range from $95,000 to $137,000 per year based on experience and qualifications + annual incentvie bonus . This role is a supervisory position and provides a fantastic opportunity for growth within the organization.
