We are seeking an experienced residential Construction Plumber to join our team. This role focuses exclusively on construction plumbing and is NOT for service plumbers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the three key phases of plumbing – soils, top-out, and trim – ensuring high-quality installation and compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install Piping Systems: Set up and connect piping systems during the soils, top-out, and trim phases of residential construction.
Pipe and Fixture Installation: Run and secure pipe and lines, and install bathroom fixtures, water heaters, sinks, and related plumbing components all according to engineering drawings and project specifications.
Blueprint & Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to execute accurate installations.
Code Compliance: Ensure all installations meet local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify, troubleshoot, and repair any issues encountered during the installation process.
Collaboration: Work closely with site managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems.
Safety & Cleanup: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and keeping the job site organized.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a construction plumber, with proven residential (and commercial) project experience.
Specialized Knowledge: Extensive experience in soils, top-out, and trim plumbing phases; NOT service plumbing.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and construction plans.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local plumbing codes, regulations, and construction standards.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ pounds), squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces and various outdoor environments.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to effectively address and resolve plumbing issues.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.
Licensing & Education: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; high school diploma or equivalent required.
