**Overview of Job Function:**

As a Software Engineer Intern at Verint, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our products. Your responsibilities will include coding, testing, and publishing Java applications, web pages, and web services. You will ensure these components meet stakeholder specifications and adhere to organizational standards.

In this role, you will work on both standalone Windows Services written in Java using the Spring Framework, which provides essential business services, as well as REST Services for IVR and web clients. Your contributions will be integral to the functionality and success of our software solutions.

**Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Design, implement, and test high level software applications

+ Contribute to definition of component and product architecture

+ Write high-quality, standardized code and unit tests that perform optimally in highly concurrent, containerized, cloud-hosted environments

+ Create UI and technical design specification documents

+ Participate in design review sessions

+ Support and/or install software applications/operating systems

+ Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test execution, and certification of software

+ Escalate urgent issues to management

+ Communicate design, reliability, and maintenance problems to appropriate internal resources.

+ Research new technologies to improve product

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Work towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field

+ Experience in design and programming Java/Spring through all phases of the software development life cycle including testing, implementation and auditing

+ Ability to manage individual priorities with strong time management skills

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

+ Basic experience with any combination of the following:

+ Programming languages such as Java, Python

+ REST API, Web and Windows Applications: Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC

+ SQL:MS SQL Server, Sybase Server

+ GIT, JIRA, Confluence

+ Basic Front-end HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

+ Cloud hosting services: AWS, Azure

+ Microsoft Office products

+ Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.
