**Job Summary:**

Reporting to the Head of Sanctions Operations, this new position has been created for the purpose of expanding Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD) Sanctions Operations oversight and enhancement of its global alert review operations. One of several key positions in the new Global Financial Crimes Division Operations function, this position will be responsible for the delivery of enhancements to global alert review operations, and oversight of the alert review analyst. The incumbent is responsible for supporting leadership to ensure a globally consistent effort that enables continuing improvement to the GFCD capabilities and further mitigate potential financial crime.

**Major Responsibilities:**

+ Participate in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Financial Crimes programs, policies and practices for Sanctions Operations.

+ Establish appropriate governance routines to oversee the execution alert review operations in order to meet defined quality assurance standards.

+ Provide consistency and standardization of critical alert review processes globally.

+ Provide recommendations to improve efficiency of process.

+ Partner with GFCD Operations to simplify capacity assessments and provide meaningful reporting metrics that drive decision making and efficiency.

+ Provide in-depth support with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.

+ Create reports, presentation material, and communications for senior stakeholders and committees.

+ Coordinating with global cross-function teams to identify, prioritize and facilitate execution of potential enhancements to workstreams.

+ Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas, and leverage that knowledge to shape the delivery of the workstreams

+ Work collaboratively across functional teams within GFCD to ensure effective and efficient operations with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

+ Partner with relevant third parties to manage the delivery of workstreams

**Qualifications:**

+ Experience interacting with the Executive Committee Leadership, control function leadership, and Sanctions subject matter experts

+ Proven excellence in execution in complex and demanding situations

+ Resilience and agility: Ability to lead complex, ambiguous, high profile workstreams and deal with the volatile nature of an operations change environment. Strong tenacity and ability to quickly ramp up on content areas

+ Collaborative with strong interpersonal communication skills

+ Systemic thinker across enterprise

+ Process oriented coupled with a strong ability to develop appropriate program enhancing strategies

+ Detail-oriented and organized execution

+ Executive level presentation skills

+ 7 years’ experience of non-technology sanctions operations experience and/or;

+ 5+ years financial industry financial crime experience;

+ 5+ years of progressive process improvement experience;

+ 4 year university degree is a plus.

+ ACAMS certification is a plus.

**Additional skills a plus**

+ Experience interfacing with banking regulators and enforcement staff

+ Understanding of an effective financial crimes risk management framework

+ The ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization, including Bank staff, management, directors and prudential regulators where required

+ Ability to work autonomously and initiate and prioritize own work

+ Ability to work with teams of project managers

+ Ability to balance regulatory requirements with the best interests of the Bank and its customers

The typical base pay range for this role is between $104k-$161k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
