St. Josephs Behavioral Health Center is a licensed not-for-profit facility providing comprehensive behavioral health services for psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. We offer a 35-bed inpatient hospital day treatment and outpatient services. Our specially trained staff of board certified psychiatrists physicians and licensed professionals are committed to providing compassionate quality care and creating an atmosphere that fosters communication trust and personal growth.

**Responsibilities**

Under the direction of the Administration Supervisor the Unit Clerk provides clerical support and services to meet the specific needs of the nursing units. Participates in and coordinates telecommunications between nursing and all departments. Is responsible for preparing compiling and maintaining patients records. Coordinates maintenance of office supplies and forms PAR levels and nurses stations. Communicates effectively with all customers and assures accurate maintenance of a patients medical record. May be required to drive an automobile by transporting documents or patients to meet the needs of the Behavioral Health Center. Performs other duties as assigned. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including a child adolescent/teen adult and geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organizations strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

**Qualifications**

**Minimum**

+ CT CPRBLS;DRV LIC

**Preferred**

+ Medical Terminology preferred

+ Experience with Legal Holds

+ A minimum of one (1) year experience in a hospital setting is preferred

**Pay Range**

$36.64 - $41.20 /hour
