Duties/Responsibilities of Quality Systems Engineer:

+ Serve as Management Representative for Modern’s AS9100/ISO-9001 registration: primary focal for surveillance/recertification audits and subject matter expert

+ Lead compliance to ISO-9001 and AS9100

+ Own and manage internal audit

+ Review/revise Quality Manual and QCI specifications

+ Serve as Lead Auditor for customer Quality audits

+ Team member / resource for NADCAP audits & on-going compliance

+ Serve as resource for RCCA investigations

+ Maintain and report quality metrics (monthly)

+ Serve as a standing member of the Company Safety Committee as well as a key resource to the Safety Committee

+ Train internal auditors

Knowledge and Abilities Quality Systems Engineer:

+ Certified Lead Auditor (nationally accredited certification body only)

+ ASQ certified QE

+ Management Representative experience

+ Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO-9001 standards and compliance

+ Demonstrated competence in several RCCA methodologies: 8D preferred

Education and Experience Quality Systems Engineer:

+ Experience in commercial/military aerospace industry

+ Experience in semiconductor (equipment) industry

+ Experience in a metals manufacturing environment

+ Excellent written/verbal communication skills, presentation skills

+ Demonstrated ability to lead teams within the framework of a virtual organization

+ Minimum AA degree, BS/BA preferred (technical discipline)
