Tests, evaluates, analyzes, and reports results for conventional and unconventional state-of-the-art precision Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Selects, applies, and interprets engineering principles and practices as related to the specialty area in order to collect, reduce, display, analyze data, and provide metrology information. Assists and advises users in their development, operation, or purchase of special equipment. Provides specific information, such as data, assigned values, corrections, measurement uncertainties, and limited ranges and parameters. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) experience in mechanical and electrical engineering principles and practices such as metrology work; (2) experience in test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) standards and support instrumentation (3) experience performing or overseeing calibration/certification tests to include providing technical assistance and guidance to lower grade employees, engineers, scientists, physicists, and technicians.
