**Job Title: 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.
+ Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
+ Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
+ Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM.
+ Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and part quality.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tool changes, and production logs.
+ Collaborate with engineers and programmers to optimize machining processes.
+ Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
+ Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in setting up and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines.
+ Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls.
+ Ability to machine materials such as Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel.
+ Proficiency in G-code and CNC programming.
+ Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or manufacturing preferred.
+ Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating 5-axis CNC milling machines.
+ Experience with CAM software is a plus.
+ Familiarity with machines such as Haas and Method Machine CNC machines.
+ Experience in aerospace, medical device, firearms, or automotive manufacturing environments.
+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
