    Duties and Requirements

    Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating CNC Vertical Mills such as Haas, Doosan, Mazak, Yam or SMG
    Program, Setup and Machine prototype and short run parts from engineering blueprints using HAAS VMC Mills.
    Proficient reading blue prints and understanding specifications and GD&T.
    Capable of reading of reading manual measuring instruments.
    Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing QA procedures and processes.
    Ability to program mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation.
    Analyze and diagnose machining, programming and tooling problems.
    Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
    Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks a plus.
    Knowledge of programming Mills using Mastercam or SURFCAM is a definite plus.

    What You Will Bring to the Role

    A minimum of 2 years’ experience with CNC vertical and multi axis machines.
    Basic understanding of GD&T symbols and knows or is willing to learn geometric requirements: (size, location, orientation, and form).
    Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements.
    Knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and cutting techniques.
    The ability to understand blueprints, customer drawings, SOP's, work instructions, and other technical information in English.
    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Our newly built 200,000 sf facility in Chandler, Arizona is just one example of how Advantest is leading the way in precision manufacturing by investing in our ability to deliver real-time decision making through connected networks of data to help improve manufacturing processes and productivity. Our parts boast standard tolerances of +-.0004”, setting new benchmarks in the field. We have spared no expense for our new CNC Machining Facility in Chandler by equipping it with Hermle RS2 Robot Cells that use 6-axis Kuka Robot feeding pairs of Hermle C22U 5-axis Machining Centers and 72 Hermle 5-axis CNCs with advanced automation technologies that uses Swiss fixturing and Robotics from Erowa.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Responsible for supervising 1st Shift team members and total activity.
    Responsible for ensuring the manufacturing process, required resources, Inspection Plan & all stages of product realization are on schedule.
    Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System within their departments including all related training.
    Responsible for driving company goals and objectives within their departments including continuous improvement.
    Coordinate with Engineering and Production departments to assure proper workflow according to current schedules.
    Assure that necessary materials are in stock for all projects.
    Ensure compliance with all safety regulations on the manufacturing floor.

    Requirements

    Qualification Requirement:

    5+ years’ experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a high-volume environment.
    3 + years’ experience as supervisor or lead in a machine or job shop.
    Exposure to prototyping and NPI Machining preferred but not required.
    Advanced level experience with measuring tools and ANSI y14.5.
    Experience with root cause analysis / fault tree.
    Experience with ERP Manufacturing software – Oracle E-Suite is preferable but not required.
