**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Provides General Maintenance coverage for approximately 116,800 sf of facilities space, including office, warehouse, industrial and security-controlled areas, and approximately 32 acres of grounds.

+ Performs general maintenance, repair, and minor modifications of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

+ Daily work involves, but is not limited to, a variety of the following duties including, but not limited to: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery. **Position Summary:**

The basic function of this position is to service fire sprinkler systems while working under the supervision of a more senior inspector or supervisor.

**Duties And Responsibilities:**

+ Services and repairs fire protection sprinkler systems for commercial application.

+ Performs preventative and routine maintenance as well as emergency service calls, as needed, on existing sprinkler systems.

+ Troubleshoots/diagnoses and identifies malfunctioning sprinkler systems.

+ Replaces or repairs malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.

+ Prepares accurate and timely documentation for work performed, completes monthly vehicle reports, and maintains truck inventory to ensure proper response to customers’ needs).

+ Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

+ Must ensure a positive customer experience.

+ Must have a strong work ethic.

+ Must be detail-oriented.

+ Must perform other duties, as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience):**

+ Minimum of High School/Vocational training.

+ Must have one (1) or more years of experience in all fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action).

+ Required to have understanding of all NFPA and local codes that apply (NFPA 13, 13(R), 13(D), 14, 20, 24).

+ Must have an understanding of all fire codes and ability to discern deficiencies in the system(s) being serviced.

+ Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to clear a drug screening.

**Certification/Licensing:**

+ Ability to obtain Backflow Test and Repair Certification.

+ Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required national, state, and local codes.

+ Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.

About the Role

You will be a fundamental and experienced member of the Service Operations team at DoorDash Labs. You will complete more advanced diagnostic and repair work to maximize uptime, supporting our overall fleet utilization goals. You will report to the Associate Operations Manager, Service Operations, in our DoorDash Labs organization. This is an on-site role with expectations of 100% in-office in Mesa, AZ.

+ Execute any Service Technician task and:

+ Diagnose complex, intermittent, or unusual faults in robotic systems, modular components, and support vehicles, often requiring advanced troubleshooting techniques and interpretation of complex data

+ Perform advanced repairs, including component-level troubleshooting and fixes on intricate electrical systems, control units, and associated hardware, with minimal supervision

+ Interpret complex technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts to guide troubleshooting efforts

+ Meticulously document complex diagnostic processes, root cause hypotheses, non-standard troubleshooting steps, repair details, and component failure information in the service management system, contributing potential updates to the knowledge base

+ Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job assistance to Level 2 Technicians for challenging tasks

+ Work independently to manage and prioritize assigned workload effectively

+ May assist in validating repairs performed by Electromagnetic technicians to ensure quality standards are met

+ Calibrates, configures, and maintains specialized diagnostic tools and test equipment

+ Reassignment to shifts including weekend days or evening hours may be required with notice of 2 weeks or more. Shift differentials are paid for specific evening hours.

+ Prior experience in vehicle or fleet service (especially for electric or autonomous vehicles), robotics, or aircraft is a major plus
