Job Description
The Teaching and Learning Center is seeking one (1) Instructional Designer or one (1) Instructional Designer Intermediate.
The Teaching and Learning Center Instructional Design (ID) Team will partner with faculty and other subject matter experts to design, plan, and deliver technology-enhanced assignments, learning resources, and courses to promote student engagement and retention in alignment with the mission of the University. IDs are responsible for the routine creation and support of learning experiences and materials. The work of the ID draws upon expertise, creativity, and experience to assess needs, design processes, develop materials, and evaluate their effectiveness. The Teaching and Learning Center is home to the Faculty Professional Development Program, First Year Together, the Indigenous Peoples Curriculum Initiative, and the Instructional Design team.
Instructional Designer
Consultation - 50%
• Assist faculty and/or subject matter experts in defining appropriate learning objectives and developing high quality, measurable learning outcomes, assessments, course activities, and tool selection.
• Consult with faculty and other subject matter experts to guide their own creation or revision of courses, with particular attention to the Learning Management System.
• Consult with faculty and other subject matter experts around questions of pedagogy, assignment design, rubric development, or the Learning Management System.
• Assist with alignment of course level student learning outcomes, assessments and learning activities.
Provide Training & Professional Learning - 20%
• Serve the professional learning needs of NAU faculty in terms of course design, course redesign, evaluation, revision, and Canvas implementation for both in-person and online courses.
• Develop and deliver professional learning for faculty designed to “enhance teaching excellence and foster learning environments that support the success of all students.” (NAU 2025 - Elevating Excellence, p. 3).

FLSA Status
Instructional Designer
This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The incumbent is eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time according to University policy. Further, the employee must submit timesheets that accurately reflect all hours worked.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and therefore will not earn overtime or compensatory time for additional time worked.

**General Summary:**
The Product Planning team is looking for a highly motivated leader who can take the success of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon to the next level, driving world leadership in performance, power consumption, and cost-efficient design. The Staff Product Manager, as a member of the Product Planning team, will be a key contributor to the Qualcomm Snapdragon roadmap for all target markets including Handsets, Computing, Automotive, Internet of Things, eXtended Reality, Wearables, and others.
The successful candidate will have a combination of technical and business backgrounds in System-On-Chip design and architecture, as well as a high-level understanding of the technology building blocks of a state-of-the-art chipset, such as CPU, GPU, NPU, DSP, multimedia, memory, cellular 4G/5G modem, low power design, thermal management, wireless connectivity, sensors, etc.
The Staff Product Manager will work with internal teams, partners and customers to define and promote specifications for the next-generation Snapdragon processors for smartphones, consumer and enterprise computing devices, automotive applications, cloud applications, augmented and virtual reality applications, wearables and IoT products.

**Principal duties and responsibilities**
+ Act as a key contributor to the roadmap for all categories of Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets:
+ Update and maintain the Snapdragon roadmap documentation. Communicate it to the executive and other levels of the Qualcomm organization.
+ Guarantee the integrity and security of the Snapdragon roadmap data, in accordance with Company Confidential Information procedures.
+ Participate in synchronizing the Technology IP roadmaps and the Snapdragon product roadmap, in close collaboration with the Technology IP Product Management teams. This workflow is driven by technology inflections, process technology, architecture and partitioning plans, standards, future use cases, extrapolation of trends and competition.
+ Contribute to synchronization and alignment between the product roadmaps for the different Business Units, to ensure the most optimal reuse and cross-pollination of technologies among the BUs.
+ Identify and anticipate key technology development trends and analyze solutions from Qualcomm’s competitors.
+ Drive the specification of chipsets in the concept phase until a program plan of record is approved at the executive level:
+ Participate in the definition of a competitive value proposition and high-level product specification, ensuring balance and consistency between the multiple technologies embedded in the system.
+ Collaborate with all the Technology Product Management teams to define and recommend options and trade-offs for each technology in the system, taking into account features, performance, power, cost, resources, and program schedule constraints.
+ Deliver to and get buy-in from the key decision-makers: Chipset Product Management team and Program Engineering team responsible for the overall chipset PNL and execution.
