A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
* Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
* Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
* Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
* Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
* Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
* Collaborate with multiple internal functions to define test requirements, test methods, and improvement opportunities.

* Coordinate project teams in the development of reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and other technical deliverables for treatment and infrastructure-related projects
* Lead Water/Wastewater treatment planning and detailed design of Water/Wastewater hydraulics, process modeling, process design, equipment design and integration, maintenance of plant operation, process controls, and construction sequencing

What you will bring to the team:
* Planning and design experience in Water/Wastewater treatment facilities, including design experience with preliminary treatment processes such as screening and grit removal process design, secondary treatment processes such as aeration tanks and bioreactor design and process design and modeling of biological processes for organics and nutrient removal, and tertiary process design including effluent filtration and disinfection
* Hands-on experience with Water/Wastewater treatment process analysis and troubleshooting, process design, process planning, and process analysis
* Detailed understanding of Water/Wastewater treatment physical-chemical and biological process mechanisms
* Strong project management and design management skills specific to Water/Wastewater treatment facility improvements
* Experience with Water/Wastewater treatment facility construction and commissioning of facility upgrades and new facilities
* Familiar with Water/Wastewater treatment regulations and restrictions
* Experience managing clients and supporting business development
* Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in the Water/Wastewater treatment design with emphasis on upgrades of Water/Wastewater treatment facilities to add new process mechanical equipment and biological treatment system improvements
* Bachelor's degree in civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
* Master's degree in civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred
* Valid AZ Professional Engineering license is preferred, or a Professional Engineering license in another state with the ability to obtain a AZ license within one year preferred
